Week 36 - Challenger (€42,500+H) - St. Remy, France (Hard)

QR1: Jamie Delgado UNR v Benjamin Cselenko (FRA) UNR
QR1: Jonathan Marray UNR v Bye
QR2: Jonathan Marray UNR v (3) Alexandre Renard (FRA) WR 761

I presume these two are playing Doubles together here so decided to give Singles qualifying a go. Marray beat Renard in a third set tie break in Manchester QR2 last year whilst the ATP doesn't even have a profile for Cselenko. Both aiming to join Bloomers in the main draw

R1: Richard Bloomfield vs. Jonathan Hilaire (WC) WR 1013

Maybe a somewhat sort of a gift for Bloomers, Hilaire is 26 yo so not a promising youngster.

Has only played once on the tour this year, losing 3 and 4 to Niland in Maresille, so before Niland's big rise after Ramat.

Hilaire played St Remy last year where he beat Thomas Paire (WR1120 at the time ) in a 3rd set breaker before losing to Mahut

Hilaire CH was 688 back in 2004 so hopefully this should be an easy 8 points in the bag for Bloomers then onto Kunitysn next!

Yep, they're the top seeds & play the veteran Swiss, George Bastl, & Pierre-Hugues Herbert (FRA) in the first round.  Bloomers, meanwhile, has teamed up with the Dutchman, Sander Groen, & they face Gilles Müller & ERV (LUX/FRA) in the first round, which ain't gonna be easy...! hmm
