Oliver Golding just missed out on a seeding as one of the wildcards went to a higher ranked American, Mitchell Frank, who he will probably play in round 2. Before that he has the opportunity for revenge against the Spaniard who knocked him out of the European Junior Championships. That was on clay though, and Ollie will be favourite here. Should he reach the last 16 then he will probably have a rematch with the Hungarian Wimbledon champion who he dispatched in the Youth Olympics.
George Morgan is the only other British player in the draw, and he plays a seed who suffered the same fate as him in Canada - a straight sets defeat by Mathias Bourgue
First eighth
(1) Juan Sebastian Gomez (COL) v (WC) Andrea Collarini (USA) Guilherme Clezar (BRA) v Ricardo Rodriguez (VEN) Filip Horansky (SVK) v (WC) Junior Ore (USA) George Morgan (GBR) v (15) Roberto Quiroz (ECU)
Last eighth
(16/WC) Mitchell Frank (USA) v Darian King (BAH) Oliver Golding (GBR) v Andres Artunedo Martinavarr (ESP) (Q) Bruno Semenzato (BRA) v (Q) Alexios Halabian (USA) Lukas Vrnak (CZE) v (2) Marton Fucsovics (HUN)
Ollie broke serve to go 3-1 up, but is now struggling to hold his own. After ding-donging around deuce for quite a while, he finally surrended the break.
