Good to see Mel getting back to back wins. On her day Rogowska is a tough cookie, but she's had a tough year like Mel so is beatable.
Shame for Naomi, let's hope next week brings her more wins and a slow progression back to form - OR since it's Naomi let's hope she hits another hot streak and romps to a title without dropping a set alla Brescia.
I have to admit, I wasn't expecting this, so it's a very nice surprise:
QF: (5) Melanie South WR 246 beat (4) Olivia Rogowska (AUS) WR 222 (CH 138 in Dec 09) by 6-4 3-6 6-4
SF: (5) Melanie South WR 246 v (7) Noppawan Lertcheewakarn (THA) WR 331 (CH 294 in Jul 10)
Best known to Brits for losing to Laura in the Wimbledon Girls' Final, Noppawan has lost to both Georgie Stoop and Bally in straights this year but she beat Mel 2-6 6-3 6-4 in Kolkata in 2008.

That'a decent win for Mel, though as PockyT said beforehand Rogowka's recent form was not that good.
Chance for Mel again against the Thai girl, who has had an OKish seson but not really progressed that quickly in the senior rankings after finishing both the 2008 and 2009 seasons in the top 400.
edit : I thought "Thai girl" was safer and then realised I'd spelt that wrong Corrected.

I'm so happy to see Mel make it through to the SF. Playing down under seems to bring out the best in her. As has been said, Mel has a chance against Lertcheewakarn though it will be tough. I really hope Mel has a positive end to 2010 as she really deserves to get back into the top 150.
Great win for Mel, but Rogowska has also been in a slump, so difficult to assess whether Mel is playing any better. The Thai girl has been impressive this week, so a win for Mel against her will give us a better indication of where Mel's form stands.
