Don't know that Jamie's draw is too bad on the face of it. Whether he's good enough is another matter. Agree Boggo's draw is not nice if other matches go to plan.

Strode is 23 and hit a CH of 483 last month just before he lost to Dom Inglot in a tight 3-setter in Ilkley. Morgan Phillips bagelled him in the 3rd set in Florida back in January and Slabba beat him 3 & 3 in the Dom Rep. last December.
So, a nice QR1 draw for Boggo, more than made up for by the horrors that could follow ...
Souza is 22 with a CH of 115 in April. He lost to Wardy in 3 sets at San Luis Potosi last year and has been playingthe same Brazilian Challengers as Jamie this month but their paths haven't crossed. Robert Dee and an American partner once took 6 games off Souza in a doubles match in Colombia.
I think Boggo would have a good chance of getting through this section, but I'll be (pleasantly!) surprised if Jamie does.
Still can't work out why the cut has virtually stuck since the middle of last week - it was totally different last year, but then there weren't any Brits right on the edge last year.

LOL ... it does actually sound like it might have been a bit dysfunctional, so I'm glad they all had fun
I don't think Baker and Boggo are playing on Tuesday, unless they're going to add to the OoP later, Katie seems to be the only Brit down to play on day 1.

Boggo *should* get through his 1st rd. but things get swiftly tougher. He *can* beat everyone in his section but he'll need to find better form than he displayed over the summer to do so.
tough all round for Jamie to be honest. from what we've seen recently he is maybe struggling for consistency which obviously is not good for a tennis player and whilst he could easily beat any of those guys on a one off his problem will be that he's got to beat 3 of them in a row.

There could be a fair bit of media interest iin this match after his play-off win, but it might be quite subdued on court because Blake and Alex do have one thing in common - from the end of http://www.worldtennismagazine.com/archives/2929:
In the [QWC playoffs] final, he confronted Cecil Mamiit of South Pasadena, Calif., a 34-year-old who is retired from the ATP wars and who played a strong opening set. Strode settled down to play a little safer, won the second set and, after failing to serve out the match at 5-4 and 6-5 in the third, girded himself for the tiebreak, which he won 7-1.
He didnt put on much of a celebration on court. Somewhat muted, he described it. Im not a real expressive guy.
Of course, well see about that if he wins his first round qualifying match at the Open.
