Very disappointing.

From a very decisive first set and  two break points at  5 - 5 *  40 - 15 ,  James has then managed to lose the second set and, whatever the overall points and BPs, he has lost that final set  6 - 1.

Clearly very much a match he could and probably should have managed to win.

Cut ridiculously high, so no British interest in the doubles here.

Flemski into the final of their money tournament though, they play Brunstrom/Parrott who beat Inglot/Huey in the semis - http://tennislink.usta.com/tournaments/draws/EventDraw.aspx?T=96024&E=2

Massively disappointing defeat for James. After the good result against Klein and with the draw opening up like it did I had hoped for so much more.

The only consolation is that it clears the way for the US Open qualifiers.

For the record: Flemski won the tournament with a 7-5 4-6 10-6 victory in the final.
