Katie 4-4*

I'd say rather than being Katie, it's more just women's tennis.

I don't mean that in a derogatory way, just that as compared to men's tennis, the serve dominates much less.  All games tend thus to be closer to 50 / 50 events whoever is serving.  It is thus much more common for leads to be lost in this manner.

Thanks, I see your point! smile I wish (and I'm sure Katie wishes it infinitely more) that her second serve was more effective! hmm

Katie 3-4*

Yes, even given what I said, I too wish Katie's serve was better  please.gif

I think she's a good fighter.  Sometimes her serve may let her down or her form may not be too good but she gives her all.

Ah, pity    cry.gif

Hope Katie gets a decent US Open Qualifying draw.  So important and potentially fruitful with the wonders of the WTA points system giving 40 points for turning up to qualifying and winning just one qualifying match.

I hope she goes further of course, but just getting that one win would be useful, and would defend her points from last year.
