There is an aricle in the Scotland on Sunday naming the tennis team for Delhi ie Jamie Murray/Colin Fleming and in the Womens Team Elean Baltacha Jos Rae nd Mhairi Brown. Elena is ranked 3 in singles in Commonwealth and is definitely playing willing to give up points on the tour to play for Scotland.
"The 19-year-old Rae made it through to the final round of Wimbledon singles qualifying this year and will hope to benefit from the experience of her team-mates when she makes her competitive debut for Scotland in Delhi."
Erm no BBC that was Lisa Whybourn...... great journalism once again.
As for Nik being left out... well you can see why she is upset, she has had some solid results, and I did expect her to be put forward as a doubles player. I guess with Brown being a Scottish coach she got the nod instead.
Welsh team is out according to the beeb http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tennis/8957004.stm
Josh Milton, but no Lisa Whybourn mentioned. On the LTA listing, Lisa is affiliated to Cambridgeshire and born in Cambridge, though she trains in Wrexham so has a Welsh connection now. Sounds like she is either not eligible for Wales/isn't taking up any eligibility.
Scotland's team have delayed their departure for India.
Lets hope that Dehli gets its act together - Having been to the CWG in Manchester they are a fantastic event and it would be such a shame if the athletes don't get to experience them in a high quality environment.
