The under 14 nationals is the first of these to take place, and in the absence of Eleanor Dean, Katie Boulter will probably start as favourite for the title. She is however unseeded, owing to playing few events in Britain.
Not a good day for top seeds in the Nationals, with Grace Dixon following George Morgan out, beaten by the unheralded Hollie Davies. All the other seeds won, along with Katie Boulter
Some upsets today with Katie Boulter losing to second seed Alannah Griffin 7-5 in the third and Harriet Dart comfortably beaten by Lana Rush. The end result is we have the two top 97 girls contesting the first semi and '98 girl Jazzi Plews playing Alannah Griffin in the other. The second seed has been in good form of late, winning two of the lower grade TE14 events.

From LTA site: ""I'm delighted. I wasn't really expecting to win. I was pretty focussed and did my best. I just hoped to make every ball and came out just hoping I could play my best. This is my biggest singles win by far."
The under 12s are through to the quarter-finals, missing Auray champion Maia Lumsden, who was injured in the Tennis Europe Nations Challenge team event. In her absence top seed Gabriella Taylor and under 14 semi-finalist Jazzi Plews (the other team members) look to be favourites to contest the final.
Pippa Horn was originally entered for the under 16s, but after last week's stunning under 18 success is unsurprisingly missing from the draw. Katy Dunne and Emma Devine are the two top seeds
In the under 12s (a strong year judging by results in international tournaments) the expected final took place with Gabriella Taylor edging Jazzy Plews in 3 sets
In the under 16s Emma Devine surprisingly lost in straight sets to Georgia Craven, who will play Katy Dunne for the title. Katie Boulter is the only player to take a set off Katy so far this week.
