(3) Murray/Coetzee (GBR/RSA) v (WC) Melzer/Weissborn (AUT/AUT)
It seems Murray has split with Jonny Marray, who is playing Segovia this week. They were winning challengers for fun at the start of their partnership, but the last six months had not been good, especially when they stepped up to tour level.
This is Gerald Melzer, brother of Wimbledon champion Jurgen.

Marray had the greater ranking ponts for all of their partnership due to his 2009 Wimbledon. When they dropped of, and Murray leapfrogged him in the rankings, the partnership appears to have split. Thats an extremely cynical observation but, one that I noticed straight away.
"IF" they have split for now, lets just hope both prosper onwards and upwards. Jonny teams up with Jamie D this week, a one off or the start of a fruitful partnership?????

I'm not adverse to a bit of cynicism but that seems pretty crazy to me. I would think we are talking coincidence.

And if it was the other way round Jamie's jealousy of his partner's higher ranking would be posited as the cause by some wouldn't it?

I am quite sure that a split (if indeed this is not just a temporary thing) is just co-incidental. In the past I thought the Jamie/Eric partnership ended a bit premature and I guess that sticks in my mind. Some partnerships need to build over seasons others need to be refreshed and changed. Being an all British partnership I tend to want to see it stay together and develop but that is just a Brit bias. As I said above, lets hope BOTH flourish if there is a split but, I still carry out hope that there hasn't been
Does anyone have access to decent information on Kitzbuhel?
The OOP released yesterday around 3pm has Murray/Coetzee down to play this afternoon. A tweet from Jamie indicates that the thunderstorms of Monday mean he's not playing until Wednesday ...... In Kitzbuhel this week..beautiful place..huge thunderstorms today mean wednesday start for me and jeff..mum and grandpa on way in rental car
Presumably only Qualies have been played so far (indoors?) since matches involving them were scheduled for Tuesday play but there's outstanding main draw matches from Monday - both singles and doubles. As at 10.00am this morning the ATP Challenger info has no updates on either singles or doubles draw and the OOP had not been revised. The official website has no draws or OOP indepently of the ATP information.
Either Jamie has been told wrongly or the OOP needs to be revised. It's all a bit of a mystery - not helped by lack of livescores or news updates anywhere.
Annoying.

I think Jamie's been given the correct information. The only doubles matches showing in the OoP on the site are Podlipnik & Raditschnigg (CHI/AUT) vs the second seeds, Bednarek & Skoch (POL/CZE), & Hrbaty & Rosol (SVK/CZE) vs the WCs, Lampe & Moncada (GER/HON).

News of both those matches, since they're in Jamie's & Jeff's half of the draw:
Rain delay in Kitzbuhel again; forecast is for showers for most of today. Lovely pic on tennislivetv of a sodden Centre court (no covers).
On the 'chef' court Ivo Minar was up 6'2, 4'1 against Andujar before rain stopped play. Murray/Coetzee follow their match once/if play resumes.
Dustin Brown retired against Rosol after losing the first set 6'7. A mis-hit tennis ball hit him in the eye and he decided not to continue playing. Not sure if he'll be back on court later with Muster in their doubles match.

Jamie and Jeff won their match 6'1, 6'0 v Eitzinger/Oswald (AUT).
Think it may have been played indoors? It's the only new match result posted on the Kitzbuhel website since play was abandoned earlier today.
