Yes it is, two Brits joining/rejoining the rankings on Monday week! smile.gif

OEM mentioned Nick Lester in the Net Post last week - "One of the members of the Hertfordshire team, Nick Lester, is a 33 year old who is building a career as a commentator and broadcaster. Though he plays only part-time, he recently won an AEGON British Tour event, for which he receives a wild card into next weeks ATP Futures tournament at the National Tennis Centre at Roehampton. It will be interesting to see how a member of the Fourth Estate handles the young cream of the sport in Britain."

Great results for Golding and Carpenter, not so much Hewitt and Feaver, but WHAT an effort by Chaudry, so close to beating the top seed

Excellent win by Nick Lester in his first pro match since 2002! biggrin

Nick's 33 with a career high ranking of 1220 set in 2000.

I presume he must have won a British tour event to have got himelf a WC here.

Really good on him though.  Barry King's ranked 768.

We've now 2 new ranked players with Skupski's win too.  smile

That last result isn't a huge shock given that Milton reached the Final last week. Mecir going out is a big shock though (sad as it is if it's an injury cry.gif), that's really opened things up for the Brits smile.gif

If you're referring to Chiswick, Steven, I think you'll find that he lost to Mecir in the final by 2 & 4! wink

You beat me to the correction ashamed

I thought "reached the Final," but was half-thinking "now Mecir is out maybe he can win the title" and my fingers typed that disbelief
