Lapentti is WR 266 by the way, a winnable match for Baker if that's who he ends up playing.
You're right, I wasn't taking in the non Jamie-related tweets. It's now 6-4 6-6(*6-5) to Lapentti - live stream @ http://www.tvtenis.com.br/
Lapentti wins 6-4 7-6(5)

Jamie is also playing doubles in partnership with the American, Nicholas Monroe. They take on Brendan Evans & "Satsuma Man" (Tatsuma Ito) (USA/JAP) in the first round.

Jamie & Nocholas (that's how it's spelt on the tournament site! ) pushed Evans & Ito hard, but couldn't quite pull it off: 1-6 6-4 [9-11].
Pity, Jamie could have done with eeking out a win there and even going further.
Certainly one very good win in R1, which is quite encouraging, but in the grand scheme of things just 8 points ( 3 points net added over his current 18th counter )
Once these points are added he will be on 185 points, but with 100 points to defend by the end of October from his Thailand and more particularly Australian exploits with currently just 11 in non counters to replace them with.
Will hopefully be finding good form and going deeper in some tournaments in upcoming weeks or risks a real fall down the rankings.
