Well, at least finally got the better of Mr Cook, albeit in the doubles.
Disappointed to hear of James' loss, I felt he was in good form, indeed confirmed by Boggo and could take Cook and really make hay this week. But in the end Cook appears to have had a fairly clear victory, clearer than against Boggo, helped by James' serve not really being on song.
Still a pretty good week for James and really good victory vs Kamke. Hopefully he can push on during the rest of the year, with very few points to defend ( just 21 points in September ).
Very capable of pushing on into the top 200 anyway.
BBD up 13 to a new doubles CH of 124 in today's new rankings.
I am kind of reluctant sometimes to see Brits seeming to turn to concentrate on doubles rather than singles, but in BBD's case, with his college background and the way he plays, I just feel he is someone who maybe is really made to be a very good doubles player, and can really rise up these rankings.
