I ended up being too busy to get back in here for more like an hour and 20 minutes - sad (but not that surprised) that Mertens won the 3rd fairly easily after being let back into the match like that. As with Boggo yesterday, what a missed chance
Still, I guess if we'd been offered the option of Eaton breaking Groth's streak and qualifying but going out in R1, we'd probably have taken it!
Eaton, on the other hand, no doubt doesn't care a **** who he beat in the FQR and much more wishes he'd beaten Mertens, particularly when he had such really good chances
Delgo & Jonny aren't doing too badly at the moment. They lead by a break: 5-3*, but then, I thought I saw Chris & Daniel about to serve for the first set in their match when I glanced at the LS. The next time I checked, they'd been & gone & lost it by 5-7!
