Oh well - poor Anne, but at least she's got the doubles with Anna still to shine in

Strange match, though settled to being more competitive in 3rd set.  But not to be...

I only managed to catch the first set in which Hercog started off poorly, and Anne was belting winners. At 4-0 0-40 on Hercog's serve, Polona found her serve and started playing more conservatively but consistently and managed to hold. It then became more of a match I guess.

Anyway I was encouraged by Anne's form in the first set at least, so hopefully she can work her way back into the top 100 before Feb 2011. Fingers crossed she and Anna (Keith?) can continue their fine run in the doubles.

I saw this on the GBTG website the other day, but the poster there (Ballyfan) might also be a poster here.

Keith is mine!! I am copyrighting it as my usual attempts are rubbish lol.

But u can all use it ;p

We on GBTG reckon its maybe Keith and Sarah/Katie (I'm dubbing them O'Well - probably an apt name lol!) for England in the Commonwealth Games - which is probably the last combination set I'd have gone for.

Hard luck to Anne today, when she levelled I thought she'd come thru.

Annan could be an alternative. Annan was an Irish Goddess of war with responsibility for culling the weak, they seem quite good at that this week.  biggrin.gif
