My oh my, Hlavackova has been on (Brit-bashing) fire since the start of Wimbledon qualifying - crazy result given that she hadn't taken more than 3 games off Katie in any of the four previous sets they had played.

Good convincing wins against lower ranked opponents this week, but as I indicated this was going to much more of a test as to where she is at, and I at least hoped it would be a much more competitive a scoreline than transpired.
Hlavackova is in decent but not that great form and not as if some younger player surging towards the top 100, but an experienced 23 yo who has steadily built to a career high of 114 a few weeks ago.
Anyway, hope Katie is not put back too much by this final result, given some decent looking earlier form, but I am afraid it does indicate that she still is searching for her best game on any real consistent level.
