Great result ... isn't it funny how both Dan and Josh seem to have 'woken up' just after their tournament wins from last year came off the rankings.

Yay.  Brilliant.  It is a bit funny the mysterious "Re-Awakening of Josh & Dan".

Josh for the this title and then the Roehampton title.  biggrin

Really good stuff by Josh  smile

I wonder if Dan showing the way on what could be achieved has had any effect here.

FI: Josh Milton WR 741 v (4) Miloslav Mecir (SVK) WR 404

22-y-o Mecir is the son of the former world no. 8 of the same name who reach the Finals of the AO & USO and semis at the other two slams.

He is 7-2 v Brits (the losses were to Meatball and Marray) and on a 5-match Brit-bashing streak, which includes a 2 & 1 win against Milton in Campden Hill 2 years ago. They have also played together in doubles at an event in Sweden.

Last week, Mecir went out to Falgheri in the Dublin semis before Dan Cox beat the Italian in the Final.

nah Milton looks about six years old, no club would let him in as they're scared they'll lose their licence

Do we really have to speculate along these lines every time a Brit losesdisbelief

Especially when they were the clear underdog.

Vandenburg does seem to have a one track mind. However I don't think a single person on here takes him seriously.

Maybe it's Norwegian humour. . .shrug.gif

Nothing to do with nights out, this could be seen coming a mlle off - and it's twice as many games as Josh got the last time they played. smile.gif A good week for Josh anyway.
