RE: Week 30 Futures - Great Britain F11 ($15k) - Chiswick - Hard

I know that you are all desperate to hear whether I am going to Chiswick.

I am NOT.

Sorry.

Hope Chaundry wins today, and bags himself a ranking point,  he deserves something for his wins over George Morgan and Smethurst in qualies.  I'm hoping for a Skupski win too.

Shame Marsalek and Golding got rubbish draws, wanted them to to well.   They are in a horrible quarter with Bhambri, Cox, Mecir & Bossel.

I'm so disappointed in you, Ratty.  You've let us down, you've let yourself down...

Trust Aunty to misspell the top seed's surname!  (no "a" between the "l" & the "c" for the linguistically curious)

Knight:  never assume the BBC's got it right, especially when it comes to foreign names.  It even thinks, I kid you not (admittedly temporarily on News 24), that Wimbledon is spelt W-i-m-b-e-l-d-o-n... disbelief

very intresting article on coxy, you have to wonder how far he can go this week when he was considering pulling out last week due to exhaustion! also fascinating to hear he saved two match points and came back from 4-0 in the tie break against mcgee.

He has always been a tough cookie, but that's impressive all the same.

Very interesting article.  We'd commented on Dan losing a few first sets but looks as if he pulled himself out of bigger holes than we realised.  With all that, it is perhaps a surprise that he's turned up in Chiswick.  Hope he had a good rest on Sunday & Monday  smile

I thought our Lincolnshire friends had maybe misinterpreted Dan's tennis speak of  "I shoulkd be back into the 500's by next week"  in saying "he hopes his two recent wins should bring him into the top 500 once again when the rankings are updated next week".  But it does indeed look as if we will be up to about 490. Into the 400's  smile   Really big jump back up in two weeks.
