Fell behind early on, managed to pull it back to 5-5 but eventually lost 10-7 cry.gif

Pretty poor to surrender the 2nd set so tamely after having all the momentum after edging the TB.

The guy who Boggo beat 10-3 was Chase Buchanan. Do you know any of the guys he had to beat to in order to reach the final against Spadea?

funny enough google alerts has just provided me with an article with a lot more info:

So not the greatest collection of opponents then! LOL I can see how it must have been fun to play in though.

Anyway, what a great idea, these US tournaments do seem to put a bit of imagination into these side events that get more people involved.

if you have a Facebook account you may be able to see this photo which kinda shows the draw:

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=238695&id=137767596254284

there are no seedings marked, but with boggo and spadea at opposite ends maybe they had some system.

I guess taking away the serve really puts a lot more focus on groundies and evens the playing field.

i agree tho, getting the people involved etc is great. mixing up men and women adds and edge, and it gives the juniors something as well.
