Not sure I see any point in Katie playing New Haven. Anne would have been sensible to do so to try and re adapt to US HC events.

Oooh glad to see Mel moving closer, painfully near now. Is the draw made tuesday?

The way folk have dropped out so far, and from what Steven was saying about last year, I'd be thinking Mel is very likely to make it.

Yes, though sadly given her recent form, I'd have to say the chances of her getting in are a lot higher than the chances of her winning a match there if she does ...

What's Flembo been up to?

"2 singles wins today putting me in last 16 of money tourny in Maryland. Struggled in the heat & humidity but got it done! Boom!"

Must be an exho similar to the one Alex was playing a few weeks ago

Ken and DDB also involved. Ken won his first round. BBD lost.

They're all playing doubles too. Flemski are top seeds and Ingluey second seeds. Both have byes into round 2.

Colin is seeded 9 and was due to meet Dom (seeded 6) in the L16, but that was before Inglot got thrashed 2 & 2 by German Boryachinsky, who in turn got mullered 0 & 2 by Jared Pinsky, who plays Colin next.

The GB star of the day there, though, was Ken - he upset no. 4 seed Joseph Sirianni WR 310 by 3 & 3 in R2 and a Treat (no. 12 seed) awaits him in the L16.

It turns out that Ken lost to Sirianni - at least with the LTA, you tend to be able to trust the official drawsheets not to make you look stupid. Apparently that's not true in the US. cry.gif Grrrrr!! furious
