WOW Markovic...would never have expected that from his junior results

From what I've seen and heard about him he seems just genuinely love competing, and is someone who will do his best to absolutely maximise his talent. If he trains as hard as I imagine he does, that is bound to have a good effect on his results.

He seems to be more of a doubles player, he's entered here with the Zimbabwean.

He's certainly quite demonstrative on court - good fun smile.gif

I think Edward said he was living in Ireland now, so his appearance in the doubles might be a one-off.

Can't find the results yet but there is an order of play for tomorrow.

Dan is through but it looks like Josh lost.

It also means Stefan Sterland-Markovic won too!

And next he'll play Bergman, who knocked out the seeded Colin Ebelthite

First ATP point for SSM, well done him smile.gif

How on earth did Josh contrive to lose in R1 though?  disbelief Surely he wasn't scared of playing Coxy again ...

Bloody good question. A couple of possible factors. Firstly he has played a lot over the last two weeks and it might have caught up with him. Secondly it is now very rare to play on carpet so maybe he just didn't adjust to the surface.
