It is a pity. I was really hoping this was a chance for Jamie to get some points on board.

He's relatively got a hell of a lot of points to defend in September and October from his Thailand and, more particularly, Australia exploits last year, more than half his current total.

Unfortunately he's not really so far been buliding up a defense core of points in advance of this period, so he could really do with finding better form very soon.

At last a bit of good news from the US:

R1: (1) Dominic Inglot & Treat Conrad Huey defeated Cory Parr & Vasek Pospisil (USA/CAN) by 3 & 4 smile

Looks as though they'll face the Yank WCs, Sekoura Bangoura & Denis Kudla, in the QF.

I think it was actually 7-5 4-6 [10-7]: close, but just not close enough. bleh
