FQR2: (q1) Dan Smethurst WR 358 lost to Georg Bastl (SUI) WR 868 by 6-1 6-7(5) 6-4 bleh

Another disaster for Dan then. Bastl got (2) Bohli, so maybe Dan will get a LL place and a better draw with it. He's missed out on the 3 points for qualifying though, and he really shouldn't have.

More good news:  Delgo & Zovko beat Grigelis & Stoppini by 4 & 1 & will play the unseeded Kumar & Raja (USA/IND) in the semi-final.  If they get past them, they will face yet another unseeded pair in the final:  somewhat surprisingly, the Frogs, Charles-Antoine Brezac & Vincent Stouff [& nonsense...], did for the second seeds, Emmrich & Siljeström, in straight sets in the other semi! disbelief
