L32: Alex Slabinsky WR 598 beat (Q) Lorenzo Giustino (ITA) WR 1101 by 5 & 3
L16: Alex Slabinsky WR 598 v Thomas Fabbiano (ITA) WR 402
The good news is that Slabba has avoided the no. 7 seed, the bad news is it's because he retired against Fabbiano and while he (Kumantsov) played with Alex in the doubles, they lost to Fabbiano & Brandi 1 & 4.

Slabba has impressed me there. Ianni is the guy with the "trick" serve (not used on matches) that was on video at Dallas last year I think.
I see him as similar ot many journeymen Brits. Ranking flits between 180-400 year by year. No stats to back that up just a feeling I get from the drawsheets I see him on

CH 300 in 2007, the only year he finished in the top 400. He has finished in the 500s for 4 of the last 6 years. So more or less what you thought but 100-200 places worse.
They have met once, in 2006 in Jersey, when Ianni won 4 & 5.

4 hours for 3 sets? 'sunballing' would be more appropriate
