Needs to sort his serving out atm, being broken way too many times... anyone know what the court speed is like there? Count?

Make that 3 DFs in one game and two FFs by Jaziri. Baker pumped again. 3-2 Tunisia in 4th.

@ spud, I asked on Monday and Boggo said it was slow, but it was brand new then so maybe it sped up since then.

Ahhh i see, okay maybe the reason for more breaks than would normally see on an indoor court.

This is only Jaziri's 3rd match ever to have gone beyond 3 sets. In 2004, he beat Mota POR 8-6 in the 5th having been 2 sets to 1 down and in 2008, he lost to Zemlja SLO in 5 sets from 2 sets to 1 up.

Doh! cry.gif RT @lankster2003: 2-4 Jaziri breaks right. Got distracted with FF at 30-0

Jaziri, being treated for cramp by captain, holds for 5-2 lead in 4th. Baker on the brink but will Tunisian legs hold?

I am a bit suprised by that, surely it would have made more sense to have a fairly quick court considering the Tunisians have played almost exclusively on clay

Jaziri breaks spectacularly, wins 46 63 75 62. Tunisia leads 1-0. Over to James Ward

@BiB

yes you're right, but they always seem to get the surface speed wrong don't they.

Oh dear. Not the start we wanted. But, as I said before, it was the match which we were not sure of winning (lol, if we are ever sure of winning), so it just makes life that little bit harder. Good luck James!

Good idea to leave Boggo out to avoid the risk of us losing a rubber from a set up. Er, oops ... disbelief

I can see this tie going all wrong like Lithuania. I think we've just got it wrong once again, with the team and court etc.

Quick court. Ward,Boggo,Dubs is fine.

just got a text from Alex 'Court is so slow'

i don't know why the seem to find it impossible to lay a quick indoor court for DC ties.

Agreed, whilst I like Baker and have a lot of admiration for him for what he has gone through in his life let alone career in my opinion Boggo is a class above and I kind of think that against someone like Jaziri he probably wouldn't have dropped a set let alone the match, particulaly if we had had the good sense to speed the court up a bit!

I did get the impression you would have gone with Boggo ( as would I probably in theory but without knowledge of how they all looked in prep ).  Still, I presume Leon picked as he thought best.  Just because Jamie has now lost, can anyone be certain Boggo would have won ?!
