Would be great for Boggo if that turns out to be right and it is Beck who has withdrawn, as with him defending a few points at the moment, getting cheap points like this helps.

I imagine if he loses the QF he may just have enough time to sign in for Atlanta qualies, but would be good for him to avoid that possibility and reach the semi-finals here, and then maybe go further.

dont think he will be going to Atlanta now, even if he loses today.

Boggo put in a decent performance against Devvarman the only time they've previously met, in French Open Qualies.
Also I noticed that Devvarman is 1-3 against Lefties at Challenger level.
I'm confident Bogster will come through.

The bookies make it about 60-40 for Devvarman, but this is certainly winnable for Boggo and would enable him to defend the rest of his Manchester Challenger SF points and add a few.

Although Alex has had some luck with Beck pulling out, his half of the draw still looks very tough, with all four seeds still in. Conversely, (4) Carsten Ball is the only seed left in the top half of the draw.
