RE: Week 28 - Challenger ($75,000) - Aptos, California (Hard)

0-15, Dev goes long
15-15, dev winner back behind Bogs
30-15, passing winner dtl
40-15
40-30, passing winner from Bogs
replay the point, overrule from the chair in the far corner so must've been well in from Boggo.
game set match, serve volley winner from Dev.

Boggo loses 5-7 6-4 0-6

How the hell do you go from breaking serve to level at one set all to being handed a bagel in the third furiousfuriousfuriousfuriousfurious

That's 10 points dropped this week as well.

what a **** start to my weekend, i mean the fact that my girlfriend has dumped me is bad enough(ask knight to confirm my depresing facebook statuses)

boggo needs to pack in,hes never going to break the top 100, but still gets a few challanger poitns to rank in the top 200. You reckon hell ever face the shame of having to drop down to futures?

Really un- Boggolike to lose in like that in the 3rd set, at least one way or the other it's generally much more of a match to the end.

Generally too many UEs in the match, often from decent position in ralllies.

Most players will never break the top 100. It's hardly a reason to "pack in"

One thing Boggo made very clear in interviews recently is that he actually loves playing tennis in spite of all the hastle he's had to put up with at times.

Good luck to the guy !

should have stayed up. He clearly needed me.

Justified his seeding. Now move on to next week

disappointing in the end but this kinda strikes me as a typical Devverman win, probably not the 'better' player but he gets so many balls back you end up getting frustrated and out playing yourself leading to the UE's. i think his serve is probably better than i gave him credit for as well.

so unless there is a last min change of plan ales'x next run out will be LA qualies.

So 10 points dropped this week and another 13 next week. Could certainly do with a decent run in LA.

Players certainly shouldn't spend too long worrying about ranking points. Just play well and the points will look after themselves.
