Great win. Kohlmann was really dangerous here imo...

That should cheer Boggo up even more - NOT   hmm.gif

Good luck to Bloomers, that's a very decent draw.

Go on Rich. Make the most of a good draw for a Brit. They don't come along all that often

All the same, bit of a shame the 12 ranking points and winnable first round match are wasted on Bloomers when they'd be much more use for Boggo.

Great for Bloomers to come through against Kohlmann and qualify and with him drawing Rochus, a good chance of a first ATP win in a very long time. (the bookies have them both at 5/6, so they can't split them)

On the contrary, they come along exactly as many times as you'd expect them to under basic laws of probability.

You're both right really - if Johnnylad means a winnable draw for a Brit other than Murray in an ATP, then he's right, they don't come along too often ... but that's because of the basic laws of probability and the fact that Brits other than Murray are likely to be among the weakest players in an ATP draw combine to mean the chances of a Brit getting a winnable draw aren't that high in the first place!

i can't base my expectations on the laws of probability. What a boring and expressiveless life I would be left with if I did
