That would be Thomas Oger (no i) so probably not! wink

Oops!  So it would - & so it wouldn't...! redface.gif  Bulle Ogier perhaps...?

Doubles:

R1:  (WC) Alex Golding (Ollie's brother?) & Tom Knights UNR vs Kyle Brassington & Nicolas Rosenzweig (FRA) UNR

Alex has a brother called Myles, who he occasionally played doubles with in juniors. Myles is the same year as Ollie, so cannot be a brother

Great to see the all-British semi-final and it means that at least we will get the champion that we should have got out of this event.

Great win for Rice as well, probably having to save some match points in there, and he'll be an interesting test for Baker, who had a pretty good win today against Grigelis.

Evans seems to be peaking at the right time as well and a good win over Goodall, but I'd expect Ward to have the beating of him tomorrow and he should go on to take the title here now.

would love it if Evo beat Ward then Baker - you know he's going to be so fired up for that after all the WC and DC snubs of the past few weeks.

I think there must be more to this Evo snub that we all know. Players have been out of favour with the LTA before, but to go from being the main man for the DC squad to not even getting wild cards into Wimbledon qualies suggests that something has seriously gone wrong between Evo and the LTA.

Maybe not that special, especially with the top 3 seeds going in, but I imagine pretty unusual.

Anyone know when when was the last time ?

Well Evo's been hitting the papers for the wrong reason, out clubbing before a match, possible rape, maybe they don't see him as a good role model to represent the country? a la Terry?

Hmm, unproven ( and denied ) allegations.  And they are punishing his personal progress quite apart from representing GB.

One would hope they have more reason than that.

the assault is unproven, but Evo's fondness for a late night or two is obviously well known, they had previously warned him and if he hasn't changed then they cant let it slide as it would be such a bad example for other players.

if this move spurs Evo on (like it seemed to last time) the LTA will just take the credit anyway for making the right decision to get the best of the player (just as we know they will do if Boggo comes good)
