RE: Week 24 - Wimbledon Qualifying

Didn't get round to commenting yesterday but this was such an encouraging match from Boggo. Great fighting spirit and stamina. Go get that ranking up now and show everyone what Boggo really can achieve.

Very entertaining, albeit on livescore.

Very entertaining reading through the whole thread too, knew something must have happened when the number of pages had doubled after the first set. Not sure if it was mentioned but I read that the 28-26 set in 1989 was actually the 5th set so that was the longest 3rd set at Wimbledon qualies in the Open era.

Mahut is 4-4 in a 5th set with Koubeck, currently played 48 games and a TB in the match.

so far in the Qualies he has played he has played 127 games & 1 TB (only 1 tb now with long set in 5th)

that's a lot of effort, hopefully he can make it through.

and he takes it 6-4 in the 5th, 129 games - shame he didnt hit the 130, well we can count the TB as a game so 130!!

^^^

And Mahut breaks Koubek before serving out the match to qualify.

Deserves it after having got through a draw of Dancevic, Bogdanovic, Koubek and having had two epics in his last two matches.

Just shows what a good grass court player Mahut is, how unlucky Boggo's draw was and how well he did to push him that close.

don't be silly Steven, it shows what a total mug he is, playing so many games, if he'd been half decent he'd have won all in straights. getting taken 24-22 by Bogdanachoke and then 5 sets by Cantbek! total clown

Thats my MTF impression btw.

ROFL ... you obviously spend too long there, Count ... and well done (if that's the right thing to say!) for getting into five figures on here.

Welcome to the club!

So frustrating with Steps and big Ivo pulling out today - was Mahut anywhere near DA? I'd have preferred he was given a WC to dilute the qualies draw a little

Has anyone else noticed that the Wimbledon returns, which usually appear on Ticketmaster, are not there this year? Where do we buy returns from?

The main draw has started, but you get the impression the guy calling the names has never heard of the players before!
