A sensible mix of our top-ranked juniors and most promising from later years. Ashley is only 2 out, so probably won't need the WC (and Jen 4 out, so may not). Tara had a lean time of it last year when she dropped in for Roehampton/Wimbledon after not playing juniors all year, but I suppose she is short of better options having failed to make the Wimbledon qualies.
I'm surprised the boys' playoff is immediately before qualifying, given the LTA say playoff losers will get qualifying wild cards. You'd think they'd give them a least a day to recover.

Love the list. Excited to see if anyone can do any damage. Definitely feel some of our more powerful players may manage an upset, especially if other juniors are struggling to adapt.
On another note (apologies for the double post) why is it that Tara never really bothered with juniors? I would have thought considering she is still only so young, dipping back into juniors may have helped her get her confidence up as I feel she may have become somewhat negative as of late. Thats totally understandable considering she is constantly comparing herself to more established, experienced players.
Ive said it before, but I remember seeing Tara playing Wimbledon juniors and really rated her- fantastic groundies and looked a lot more formidable than young Heather when they teamed up in the doubles. Guess that shows how much I know about juniors!!

Tara got into the top 100 a couple of years ago, but then struggled, was getting better results on the women's circuit than in juniors and so stopped playing the latter. In theory she could now use a boost of confidence from a good run in juniors, but that didn't happen when she briefly switched back last year.
