The head-to-head is 3-2 in Andy's favour. "The Mardy One" (see my post on the Queen's doubles thread in the British men's discussion forum, if you're curious about why I call him that), of course, claimed the most recent victory when he (in)famously beat Andy by 4 & 4 (?) in Round 2 of the Miami Masters earlier this year, when Andy gave a fair impression of really not giving a damn... Perhaps of greater relevance here, though, is that Andy did for Fish by 5 & 3 in the quarters at Queen's last year. I expect him to repeat the feat tomorrow (?).
Andy lost the 1st set 6-4 after being broken in the 1st game, stepped up a level in the 2nd set and won it 6-1, but has just gone down another early break in the 3rd
*0-3

To be honest, they probably could have got another 15 minutes out of the match but not a lot more than that, and obviously with all the momentum going towards Murray, Fish wanted off court and a chance to regroup again tomorrow.
Yes, some matches have gone in worse light in the past but often they have been in situations where both players wanted to play.
Very strange match anyway with Murray not doing a lot in the first set, playing a lot better in the second set, before dropping away at the start of the third, with Fish playing well at the opposite moments.
Would fancy Murray to come through a best of 7 game shootout tomorrow but he can't afford to start slowly, as if he does, then Fish's serve will probably see him through.
The trouble is that Murray is usually a slow starter.
The match is to be finished at 12.30 tomorrow, then the winner will play Llodra after only 1 match between, even though another 2 matches are scheduled on the same court. Strange scheduling this tournament - ok not as bad as RG and the USO, but still strange.
Perhaps it would have been better for Murray/Fish vs. Llodra to have been the 4th match on court rather than the 3rd match, but then you run into all kinds of problems with the halves of the draw being split, and also the doubles ends up getting very backlogged.
Nadal is already a round behind in the doubles so may have to play three matches tomorrow, while both Llodra and Fish are also in the doubles, so they have to play their singles matches as early as possible in the order of play.
Sela, Schuettler, Malisse and Querrey are all out of the doubles and so don't need to get their matches in early. Plus, I'm sure the BBC would prefer that Murray and Nadal were playing at the times they are on BBC2 rather than the other quarter finals which don't have much interest to the general viewing public.
