Does anyone know the last British man (with the exceptions of Andy, Tim and Greg) to win back to back matches against 2 players ranked inside the top 100?
Probably Flan the man beating Flipper (WR 17) and Hanescu (WR 35) at Queen's in 2004. He didn't get to play at Wimbledon either, but Wardy has done a lot more in the rest of the year than Flan ever did, as evidenced by the fact that Flan was ranked 866 at the time! He was out with glandular fever for a while early in his career too.
I'm still wondering if anyone's done it since, e.g. in slam qualifying (tho players there would normally be outside the T100) or if Boggo has done it in among all his wins v T100 players.

i don't think Alex has done it, whilst he probably beaten a top 100 followed by a former top 100 etc, if you look at the counts list below i don't think any were back to back. so its very impressive by James. maybe the closest Alex came himself was here where he just lost to Tursunov?

"It's only two matches so far, I beat the big names of the tournament so far, but lesser-ranked players are often hungrier. I watched Dolgopolov against Baker, so I'll talk to my coach see how I get on. I backed myself to do well today, I can't look back too much. It's a little bit disappointing not to get a wild card, because I've been in the top 250 for 18 months, and only dropped off the week before the cut because of losing the points from the Sarasota Challenger I won last year. But what can I do. I don't make the decisions. Hopefully I'll continue to have a good week this week, it's all about experience on the big courts at the big events. I'll practice and get ready for Davis Cup which is here at Eastbourne on the grass."
