er so has ward def got a wc into wimby then, not sure with the favouritsm for baker and ward is about, they are going to get main draw wc's to all three tournys. while evo and smethurst are actually ranked higher than ward(i think), and are 3 years younger, and obviously there's boggo aswell who has been looked over

It's possible that Ward has chosen a WC here over a WC into Wimbledon qualies.
It would be a stretch to see Ward actually qualifying for Wimbledon as he probably run into someone who is a lot better than him on a grass court at some point, but at Eastbourne may get a gift of a draw like he did last year against Crivoi, and with 20 points to defend, he figures that is his best chance of defending them.
Of course, he could have one of the remaining WC's to Wimbledon, but I would have expected that to have been confirmed if it was true.
i guess if he plays on Sunday and looses he can still play wimby Q?
I imagine so, but you just know that if Ward was thinking about that as an option, he'd draw a qualifier in round one and thus not be able to play round one until Monday.
Its possible that if Ward does well here, ie. win a match then Wimbledon might upgrade his QWC to a main draw WC, may well be the LTA looking for an excuse as it were to get another Brit into the Wimbledon main draw and getting a loophole round the 250 criteria.
well the criteria was a joke in the end tho as we saw, Baker was outside it and was made an exception (i know he was close, but i'm sure i saw someone say 1 year Big Arv's was 1 place below the cut and they didnt make an exception) Boggo was inside it and was made an exception. if they wanted ward to get one i'm sure they could have come up with an excuse :).

I do wonder when Wimbledon are going to announce the remaining WCs, I was hoping for something this morning now that the remaining QWCs have been decided. Instead, the URL on the Wimbledon site that contained the original WC list doesn't even work any more!

More likely Andy would try to get into one of the grass court exhibitions at Hurlingham or Boodles. Even more likely, he'll just take himself off to Wimbledon ahead of the start of the Slam.

I dont think its fair at all for James and Jamie to get WC's again here, there performances at Queens were shocking tbh. They just didnt look like competing on this surface. Its not fair on other brits in my opinion
In his BBC interview today, he did mention Eastbourne and even s'Hertogenbosch as possible options for getting some more matches in, but it sounded like he was more likely to do one of the exhos.
