Excellent win for Anna, who was a break down in each set for much of the time, as far as I can work out. Scheepers can certainly play on grass (I saw her give Bally a fright last year) and had an exceptional French Open (qualified and reached the 4th round).

I know, knowing that and looking at her ranking (131) it should have been really hard for Anna to win, yet when I saw the draw I had a feeling she would. Still a brilliant result - the fact I half-expected it just shows what high standards she's set this year.

Naomi will need to find her game to beat Perry, others have a great chance (depending on how the qualifiers are drawn).

If Mel can keep calm, consistent and keep her head while Chak goes through random waves of purple patchesd and utter rubbish, she can get this one
