RE: Week 23 - WTA International 220k - Birmingham (grass)

Good hold that. At 15-30 I feared the worst.

As I left to pop to the shop I had a feeling Mel would lose that set.

With no vision it's hard to know what happened but losing 2 BP's for a *5-1 lead must have rocked her a bit.

Oh no. We've been here before not long ago and lets hope history is not repeating itself.

Lost 6-3,4-6,4-6

What a devastating loss that has to be considering the positions she was in.

Yeah, it was to love. I meant to put that in my post but just felt so sad.

Even by Brit standards, that double choke was epic. cry.gif

Tiny silver lining - she must have been playing pretty well to have got that close.

Laura up on Live scores on the main court. I assume there's vision for you peeps in the UK?

I wouldn't of thought it would work over here in OZ but I'm now that bothered really. I don't mind watching lives scores. It's kinda exciting in a strange way :)

Poor Mel. Not pretty for those watching and hoping but devastating for her. Would have been such a boost.

Possibly but Chak threw in 2 double faults in the game Mel broke in the 3rd set so she's not exactly full of confidence herself.

Would of liked to have seen the body language of both players has the match unfolded. Must of ebbed and flowed all over the place.
