So the draw is opening up nicely for Boggo. Its Soeda tomorrow for what looks like a very winnable match. Soeda WR 137 has only ever won 1 match before on grass and that was in a future! Looks like it was Gooch still struggling with fitness rather than an amazing Soeda performance. Hopefully one of BT team that was in Nottingham may be able to throw some light on that. The winner will play either Tursunov (who is an excellent grass court player but who's career appears to be in terminal decline) or Ilhan (who has little grass experience)

I am bringing my mother in tow. If you see someone trying to get away from a slightly older lady then that will be me. If you see someone munching on unappetising sandwiches, again, that might be me. Oh and if you see someone turning away from the camera that SHE WILL BE BRANDISHING, that will most likely be me. At least until I take it off her.
She's not happy that Clement lost. She'd heard of him. She's also not very pleased at the prospect of seeing Boggo, considering every time we saw him at the Nottingham Open (in the 2nd round, by law, it was always where he got to), he lost. It was a stark contrast to Greg who always won every time we saw him play.
I wanna see the Anne v Naomi match! That could be a good one!
What a win for Alex Ward! and Boggo followed it up with a great win over another top 100 player who won a ATP 250 on grass!
Thought Ward would get beat by Goodall given their performances here last year, but i'm glad Wardy won as i believe he is a better overall player.
Shame for Willis and Slabba, thought Slabba stood a decent chance but both didn't disgrace themselves with Slabba taking a set and Willis pushing Ilhan to a tiebreaker.
All in all a much needed good day after a couple of low weeks :)
