The money has been taken out of my account for the tickets, so if they don't turn up, at least I can prove that I bought them.
I imagine that they will be on their way and should probably arrive either later today or on Monday, but if not, I'll ring up and find out why they have not turned up.
EDIT: Just something else that has crossed my mind. For the first time in a long time, we actually have our players ranked the right way around so that our best player is actually our number two.
So if Ward can beat Ilhan on the first day then the tie is definately won by us, and even if he doesn't, he'll be the player in the live 5th rubber which he would be even more expected to win.

Yes, that's exactly why some of us were quite happy when it became clear that Wardy wouldn't be overtaking Jamie in the rankings before the tie!

can you actually imagine murray playing tho? having to turn up against a turkish kehbab shop owner ranked 950 in the world, how would he motivate himself. i fully back murray from his withdrawal, he should not play until there is a playoff to get into the world group at least.
Hi folks - the Murray Mob are going to Eastbourne to cheer on the GBR team.
I have one family that now cannot come on SUNDAY - so there are 4 TICKETS AVAILABLE @ £18/each.
We may also have 1 ticket per day going spare for each of Friday (£18), Saturday(£9) and Sunday (£18) - they are slightly cheaper than advertised because of the block booking.
If anyone is interested please PM me here (or by PM on am.com's forum to Sallydaisy) and I'll make contact. I shall have the tickets with me in Eastbourne so it's possible to make a last minute dash to watch.
Thanks ..........

Saw a bit of the Turkish team practicing on the grass yesterday, although Ilhan was the only player I knew so thoughts about the other players could be useless.
The guy who was playing with Ilhan (who I assume will be the second singles player) didn't look to be anything special and wasn't that comfortable on the grass, although they did split the six games I saw 3-3 (either showing Ilhan is not as good as we thought, or this bloke is far better than we think). He looked to have a fairly decent first serve, but the second serve just sat up to be hit, and the rest of his game had nothing special about it.
On the other court one of the players was hitting volleys, so I assume he is the man who will play doubles with Ilhan. His volleys were okay, but nothing that should trouble Flemski and probably not even on the level of Ward/Baker.
This will be Zorlu's first competitive match outside Turkey for two years and our sub the Wardinator beat him 3 & 1 in Turkey in 2008.
f/b James Ward WR 301 v Marsel Ilhan WR 103
H2H 2-0, Chennai Q & Zagreb Q this year, both tight 3-setters. Ilhan qualified for Wimbledon then reached R2, beating Daniel from 2 sets down before losing to Hanescu in 4.
Sat: Colin Fleming DWR 47 & Ken Skupski DWR 46 v Marsel Ilhan DWR 708 & Haluk Akkoyun DWR 1136
