And yeah :P I eventually saw it. It's going on my wall. I will show you when I put it up. It will be the wonderful reminder of the opening round for me.
2010 ROLAND GARROS BOTB - DAY 3 'SYNDICATED' REPORT
The biggest shock of day 3 was 1% pick Zemlja upsetting Mónaco, which could really bite the 48% of us who had him going out to Duckboy in R3 after the American survived a 5-setter against Nieminen. That is unless Kavi (who as an 11% pick upset Schwank in R1) can manage an even bigger upset on Thursday and keep Roddick out of that R3 match altogether.
In other upsets, 4% pick Ginepri won the battle of the Americans against a mentally out of it Querrey and 29% pick Riba upset Gicquel, though quite why 71% picked the GEM to win that I'm not sure. Meanwhile, in the big swing matches Gabashvili 52% saw off mad Dani Köllerer and Mahut 52% beat Zverev, while Malisse 54% is two sets up against Greul in the one R1 match which got suspended last night.
Detailed results can be found at http://www.freewebs....mpetitions.html and from now on they will be updated regularly each day, with 'headlines', the odd rant (when I just can't stop myself!) and the odd 'quote of the day' appearing on http://twitter.com/botb1 as well.
TEAMS
With one match left in R1, world no. 2 team BT.net are still in the lead based on adjusted scores, though MTF, up 1 to 2nd, have a slightly higher raw average score. JM.org fell 1 place on day 3 but are still in the top 3, while world no. 3s TAT and world no. 4s Rusedski.co.uk ended the day where they started in 4th & 5th respectively.
The fastest risers were T4Y, up 4 to 6th, the Dammitaires, defiantly up 2 to 7th (they actually rose a lot when one GEM, Gicquel, lost but Chardy's loss limited their rise up the table) and GBTG, up 2 to 13th.
Three teams fell more than one place - the Feddies, down 2 to 8th, AM.com, down 3 to 10th, and the Daily Forehand, down 2 to last.
The team KO pairings won't be known in full until Malisse v Greul has finished but the following are already definite whatever happens in that match:
(1) BritishTennis.net v (16) The Daily Forehand ... (3) JamieMurray.org v (14) GBTennisGirls.com ... (15) AndyRoddick.com v (2) MensTennisForums
INDIVIDUALS
He may have got 3 points less than the highest scorers on day 3, but 13/19 was enough to keep Josh (BT) in 1st place, now out on his own, with 50/63 points overall. Silver (BT), having taken the outright lead at one point, ended the day with 12/19 and fell 1 place to 2=, level with Björki (MT), up 3, who also ahread the lead at one stage during the day.
The first two of the seven equal top scorers on day 3 with 16/19 that we come across are Claire Thompson (JM) & mataeo1983 (TA), both up 38 to 4=, a position they share with British_is_Best (BT), up 18, emf123 (IN), Snoo Foo (MT), richard meaghan (TN), Raven (AM) & waylandboy-tw (TA), all up 5, amalyn (MT), up 1, and oneminutetomidknight (BT) & another entrant who shared the lead at one point, Suliso (TA), both down 1.
ON THE RISE
The other five entrants who scored 16/19 on day 3 were DavidC (BT), up 103 to 24=, risers of the day Dentist Appointment (IN), eblunt (BT) & cazza99 (AM), all up 148 to 44=, and much further down the table, BHar11 (TA), up 38 to from 2nd last to 308=.
There were also 3-figure rises for 15/19 scorers sid (AM), Alli (CC), SoraOblivion62 (TA), Derevko (MT), royouman (IN), Ivanatis (MT), sparkey (GB), Don x (RN), SMC1809 (BT) & bandtree (MT), all up 105 to 87=, and vivahate (CC) & banskogirl (AM), both up 131 to 135=.
DODGY DROPPERS
The lowest scorer of the day by far was Tammy (DF), down 22 to last after getting just 8/19 correct on Tuesday, though she is 2.5 clear of the gorillas.
However, the biggest fallers of the day came from among those who got 10/19 - oohsalmon (DF), marion bernard (ND) & ragdoll (AM), all down 154 to 281=.
WEDNESDAY
10 of the 16 top half R2 matches include a player who was picked by at least 90% of us (97%+ in 9 of those 10 cases), while shock R1 defeats for F-Loppy, Gulbis & Robredo mean that Rochus 8% v Reister 0% (1 pick), Benneteau 3% v L Mayer 2% and Troicki 7% v Ball 1% offer opportunities for a few people to steal a march on the rest of us but won't produce any big falls.
Unusually, there are no matches where both players were picked by more than 30% of us, so the closest we have to swing matches are GGL 74% v de Bakker 18%, Muzza 77% v Chela 3% (with the 20% who went for Dammit hoping for a bit of damage limitation by the Argentine) and Baggy 82% v Granollers 6%.
Of course, it remains to be seen how many matches survive the weather today - I hope they at least manage to resume and finish the remaining R1 match, but it is on after the Montañés v Kamke R2 match - I think there is a case for scheduling suspended matches 1st on rather than 2nd when the forecast is bad.

Gabashvili beat Koellerer?! Awesome. I've heard nothing from Sheddy, but I picked Gabashvili to win because a) if Koellerer experiences spontaneous combustion on court he can't play tennis, and b) Gabashvili also keeps popping up as a winner on the Challenger tour.
You mean BLAZ WON AGAINST EDUARDO SCH?!!!!!! And to think I was specifically questioning that pick earlier in this very thread! I guess chatting to Blaz about his practice sessions paid off after all. *taps nose* Inside information.

54% pick Malisse's win completes R1 - well done to Josh (BT) who eventually won it by 2 clear points with 51/64, though he now only leads on tiebreak after getting just 2/4 in R2 so far.
2= in R1 were emf123 (IN), Snoo Foo (MT), richard meaghan (TN), Silver (BT), British_is_Best (BT), Björki (MT) and Raven (AM) with 49/64.
The other thing this result means is that the team KO draw is now finalised:
(1) BritishTennis.net v (16) The Daily Forehand (9) RichardGasquet.net v (8) Rusedski.co.uk (5) TalkAboutTennis v (12) Tennisopolis.com (13) Centre Court Forum v (4) Other Boards (3) JamieMurray.org v (14) GBTennisGirls.com (11) BBC 606 boards v (6) Tennis4you.com (7) RogerFederer.com v (10) AndyMurray.com - wahey! (15) AndyRoddick.com v (2) MensTennisForums

Eh, we're friends. Bet you didn't know that Jeff Coetzee got me through my dissertation!
Blaz says he's pretty thrilled to be in the second round, and that his match against Roddick is tomorrow on Thursday but he doesn't know what court yet. He's spending today resting as he says he was 4 hours on court yesterday. He's also very happy that his Slovenian mobile network provider is working in Paris.
Against Roddick, I'm not backing Kavcic though!

What's the lowest the first round leader has ever finished? Hopefully I'll still be in the top 50 by next Sunday but the rest of my picks don't look too promising. All of the bottom half are playing tomorrow since all of the top half played today and since the OOP won't be out until the evening its not surprising he doesn't know the court yet.
Josh wrote:What's the lowest the first round leader has ever finished?
That's not something I've ever checked, but I remember noticing that the outright R1 winner (with 49/64) at the AO this year eventually finished 305th/488 and the leader at the end of R2 finished 306th, failing to score in any of the last three rounds.
