QF:  Rogerio Dutra da Silva & Alejandro González (BRA/COL) lost to (2) Jonny Marray & Jamie Murray by 6-7(3) 6-4 [10-8] smile

Phew! *mops brow*  I was convinced they were going to blow it after they squandered an early lead in the first set & one of something like 5-1 in the MTB!  In the match to decide who their SF opponents will be, de Voest & van der Merwe currently lead the fourth seeds, Nielsen & Rettenmaier, by 6-2 *1-0...

A fair amount of Brit interest in the doubles biggrin :

Jamie & Jonny are the second seeds & scheduled to take on Dustin Brown & Sandro Motti (JAM/ITA) in R1, which won't be easy.  In the other half of the draw, Chris Eaton, interestingly, has teamed up with promising young Aussie, Bernie Tomic, & they take on the local pair, Giuseppe Menga & our old friend, "Stoppers", in the first round, while Delgo & Goody face the Finnish pair, Harri Heliövaara & Juho Paukku.  Fingers crossed...

Chris & Bernie are through to the QF by a walkover! smile It'll be a tough match for them, though, as they have to do battle with the Austrians, Peya & Slanar, who've just seen off the top seeds, Martin & Ram, by 4 & 4!  If perchance they should triumph, however, they'll then have to face those bloody Finns, Heliövaara & Paukku! bleh

De Voest & van der Merwe it is:  they won by 2 & 3.  M&M are now the only seeded pair left in the draw!

Interestingly, Peya & Slanar are currently battling it out for a place in the SF of the singles, with Peya, the seventh seed, leading by 6-4 *0-1 after 50 minutes.  Hope it goes to three sets... pray.gif
