Anne should walk that with her eyes shut!

Just noticed that Anne is seeded 4 for qualifying. The other seed in her quarter is Greta Arn, who beat Bally in Rome Qualies. Will be difficult, but Anne has a good chance of qualifying.

Anne takes the first set 6-3, 3 breaks to 2

I wonder if Anne is OK as there was a long break just after the start of the second set. Struggling to put her opponent away in a match which lets face it this should be a cakewalk.

This seems a bit of a struggle for Anne, having to save a BP to win that last game. 2-2*

And now a DF gives Anne the break. *3-2

If Anne qualifies her prospective first round opponents are Petra Martic, Sara Errani, Timea Bacsinszky or Alexandra Wozniak, None of these have found great form on European clay this season

Winning 6 games out of 8 after the lengthy break suggests that if there was an injury to Anne it probably isn't serious pray.gif

The H2H here is 1-2, but Poutchek's wins were in 2006 and Anne won 3 & 3 the last time they met, in Stanford qualifying in 2008.

Easy win in the end, I would have thought it would have been easier than it seemed but maybe she did have an injury.

I think she'll take Poutchek - not sure she's got as much patience as Anne on the clay, she might slap some but I think Anne will be to solid.
