Pinheiro's a bit of a mystery - she's 28, reached a career high of 1151 way back in 2002 and hasn't scored a ranking point in the last 8 years! How she got a place in qualifying here I really don't know! (*)
Mystery no more, evidently just ****. Anyway Anna I'm sure not bothered. Nice 6 points

It's Laura's weakest surface and the reason for her not being on the list of Roland Garros wildcards may be that she has now been offered a MDWC for Eastbourne, and her team regard that as a better use of her limited allocation than playing at RG
Disappointing but no shock as her opponent is in the form of her life and is arguably playing much better than her current ranking.
It was always going to be a test this back on the 'real' clay. It was her first match on the red stuff this year and played out in cold conditions probably made it an even tougher assignment. The first set to me was won by Laura because she won all the big points. But at 1-0 in the second having just broken her opponents serve the match turned with Laura being broken to love. From that moment it seemed to be an uphill battle, but I was pleased to see her battle hard in the final set from 4-0 down. Last year dare I say it that would have probably turned into a bagel set. Going on the bare match statistics her second serve became a problem as the match wore on.
On next to the French Open juniors where given the quality of the field a QF or better will be a very good result.
I also think a MDWC at Eastbourne is looking a good bet at the moment. She isn't playing Nottingham this year so that only leaves her with the Liverpool tournament or Eastbourne as preparation for Wimbledon.
