It does say on Evos junior profile page that his favourite surface is clay ,and the lad did have good wins in south america in singles and doubles with Ricey. On this form might be ok for Roland garros.
You wrote that with a very straight face Hoss! Evo the clay court King? Rafa look out!
Players do say some strange things in their profiles. Even AM once said clay was his favourite surface I believe. They must have brain washed him at that academy in Barcalona!
As for Evo, if clay is his best surface I would not like to think how bad he is on the others. Perhaps that win over LG has gone to everyone's head. Actually with James Ward and perhaps Andy Murray, a clay court DC option is not out of the question if drawn against a nation with fast serve/volleyers. Just I can't think of any of the latter at our level at the moment.

AM's ITF profile still said that the last time I looked

Piece of cake for Dan & Grigelis in the doubles: they won by 1 & 1 agin the third seeds!
They will take on the second seeds, Knittel & Vagnozzi (GER/ITA), in the SF. They had a walkover against the unranked Ehara & King-Turner (JAP/NZL) in today's other QF in the bottom half of the draw.
The boys are certainly tearing up a few trees together in Pozzuoli: they won by 4 & 5!
Final: (1) Juan-Martín Aranguren & Alejandro Fabbri (ARG/ARG) WR 447 vs Dan Evans & Laurynas Grigelis (LTU) WR 1696
