She's defending big points over the next six weeks though. So the 42 earned so far over the last two weeks won't cover the 64 she will lose over the next period. I believe the final score was 3-6 6-4 7-5 so a very close match and closer than I would have envisaged.
As for consideration for Wimbledon wild cards, as she was not on the Aegon list this year and she is still Australian I would predict there is next to no chance that she will be considered. I think we'll have to wait until next year for that recommendation to be made.
Good to see that Jo's in pretty decent form recently, certainly after a rather unsuccessful second half of last year.
Given that, although she has 64 points to defend by the beginning of July, she has only 5 more to defend the rest of the year after that, so if she can keep up or indeed improve on recent form then her prospects for the rest of the year look good.
Re her ranking, based on current ranking points the 32 she would gain if she reached the semi finals would take her into the top 300 although that could be effected a bit by other movements.
Jo's match is currently on Radio Tennis, but with intermittent sound problems. It appears that Jo has been forced to change nationality again as Ken refers to her as Austrian
Comfortable win and 50 juicy points so far. Very weak event to be fair but you have to take advantage when these opportunities arise and Jo certainly has.
