Going back to the initial subject of this thread, I believe the new MP who used to post here quite a lot is down to pose a question at PMQs (BBC2, 3 pm) later today. I think I can quite confidently predict that he'll be the tallest opposition MP asking a question ...

You'll be shocked to hear that a former member of this board has made it onto page 3 ... then no doubt relieved to hear that it's page 3 of today's FT, where he's described as one of the six best new MPs. LOL

Can we know of his constituency then we can look up who he is without creating a direct link (if that is a problem).

Yes, Chesterfield. I don't think that's a problem - it's not as if it's a big secret. smile.gif

The only thing I'm trying to do is avoid saying directly on here what his real name is or what his nickname was on here, to avoid making it easy for someone up to no good to find him with a search and then search for all his posts looking for something to take out of context. That would be very sad of them, of course, but we know this kind of thing happens, don't we.

I should add that he hasn't asked me not to mention his name, it just seems fairer not to. I'd hope for the same consideration in a similar situation - not that I intend to go into politics any time soon, I hasten to add! smile.gif Of course, those who knew him on here will know or be able to guess who he was anyway.

LOL - it was just about the only seat in the country I hoped his party would win. smile.gif
