RE: Week 18 - ITF ($10K) - Edinburgh, GBR Clay

Eleanor :( but good effort. If she had been able to sneak that breaker...

Liz :( but at least she's back on court.

Should be a good boost for Fitzy that one

Babos probably still rusty after her injury. How Babos gets on for the rest of the tournament will tell us how good an effort that was by Eleanor.

Jess wins which I think most people predicted. Love the lobsided scoreline.

Strange that we don't have a result for Elliott v Vickers yet when that was supposed to be one of the first matches on court.

Elliot beat Vickers in three sets I believe.

I watched some of the Ren match and I have to agree with Lisa, it had the whole centre rocking with laughter! Forget the Williams sisters this was the ultimate sibling rivalry. Not fit for a family audience at times. Every point contested with no quarter given. Verbal insults, jostling and towel pulling it had everthing. Went on long after the match. Not quite scratching each other's eyes out but very close. I hope they didn't take it too seriously.

In case it has not been reported wins for, Mairi Brown, George one set all with Tomova.

There was a delayed start due to early morning rain. Play on the back courts, including the Elliot v Vickers match did not get underway until 2.30. THe other courts started at 11.30.

Great effort from Eleanor I think she could be a very good prospect. Also very pleased for Fitzy, great to see her back playing a few events in a row (fingers crossed).

Well done as well to Mandy, she must still have the fight in her, keep it up girl. Her vs Tara could be interesting if she can be solid and let Tara slap some errors then who knows. It's about time she got some wins togther.

Probably more to do with the fact that Lisa is still not firing on all cylinders.

Lisa beat Fran in 2 sets last week. Surely, she has just as many cylinders this week.

Granted, better than last week. But I still think Lisa is nowhere near her best level yet. She shouldn't really be dropping a set against Fran if firing on all cylinders.

Joss hasn't really trained on for whatever reason. Clearly struggling with an injury when I saw her last year at Sunderland she is clearly not progressing as expected.

Jess probably still recovering from her emotion filled match yesterday against big sis.
