They'll play top seeds Guillermo Hormazabal & Walter Trusendi in the QF.

QF: HORMAZABAL (CHI) / TRUSENDI (ITA) (1) defeated EVANS (GBR) / GRIGELIS (LTU) 6-7(7) 6-4 [10-7]

checking the link in your signature, it does appear Evo did win!

nice revenge (i hope!), this is only 10K so Evo needs to win it to get a good points return

I think his/her sad smiley was because he's Lithuanian. Nice of him/her to let us know the result though. It's on the ATP site too:

QF: (1) Dan Evans WR 367 beat (5) Laurynas Grigelis (LTU) WR 452 by 4 & 0 smile.gif

SF: (1) Dan Evans WR 367 v Luca Vanni (ITA) WR 626

YES that's what i was thinking!

You could say it neutralizes his slice backhand too, but then that encourages him to hit the topspin backhand which is his best shot i think

Well done, Dan !

Final:

(1) Dan Evans WR 369 vs Guillermo Hormazábal (CHI) WR 516

A definite chance of a second men's title this weekend, I'd have thought... please.gif

Hormazábal was ranked around 300 at this time last year and has a 6-6 record in Futures Finals, a 0-1 record in Challenger Finals. With Trusendi, he knocked Evo & Grigelis out of the doubles this week but has not played a Brit in singles since 2006, when he beat David Brewer in Carpi.
