i'd say there are 5 contenders:

Boggo
Smethusrt
Ward (A)
Ward (J)
Bsker

Boggo is in an odd postion, he is No2, 100 places above the rest and just beaten a top 100 player on grass. But even so he wont be sure of one yet.

Smethurst was unlucky to have to give one up here due to illness, if he is recoverd he deserves one.

I dont think you can really over look a great run by Wardinator here.

which assuming 1 is left then its between Baker and Ward, and you have to say JB would be the fav cause of his higher ranking. Unless Ward makes it so deep he cant qualify for queens. perhaps they wil lwait till Friday to make the annopucment.

There are 5 and other than Nishikori I don't think there are any other foreigners who have a decent claim. Possible but unlikely we could get 4, although more likely to be 2 or 3.

sorry when i say 'here' aboe i mena at nottingham.

Ancic alreayd has one, but will he be fit to claim it? although if he does pull out it may be too late for our guys in the qualies.

Katie has made the main draw at Brum and Anne is next in line (with Schiavone almost certain to pull out) so should have some wild cards to play with.
