Laura is NOT playing doubles. A certain Robinson, however, most certainly is biggrin

Jo won no score as of yet. Might have been better losing as she has drawn Chalova. The girl she beat Ahn got a lucky loser spot and will play the out of form veteran Lindsay-lee Waters.

That draw puts her in the same little section as Laura. So a matchup possibility for the second round. I believe they had a little bit of a spat two years ago at Roehampton so would be interesting if they were to matchup once again.

Neither first round matches are on centre court so no live score coverage.

Just an additional note Jo won 6-2 7-6(4) and every loser in FQR also gained a LL spot. Can't imagine thats happened too many times.

Apparently during the tiebreaker of their match Laura incorrectly called balls out when they were clearly in. Don't know how reliable the story is though.

It was reported on this board that Laura cheated on some line calls in the deciding tie-break in a match in the junior event in Roehampton in 2008.

It happened in Shrewsbury 2008, and they all knew before their FQR matches. And I seem to remember more lucky losers won their first round matches than qualifiers.

Laura twittered after her match was finished. Didn't reveal the score but if I was a betting man I would say that she probably won.
