To think Gallovits drew a qualifier in the 1st round, which could have been Laura.

After an unconvincing FQR, Laura could have then lost in the first round similarly as she did in the semi final, and we would have been maybe getting overconcerned re her form.  As it is she got a chance to show she can be not at all bad on that green clay stuff.

Just probably shows how it's not a good idea to judge too much on one or two performances.

... and shows how important the luck of the draw is to players' rankings, especially when they are relatively low-ranked and one good run in a big tournament can make a huge difference.
