Dissapointing :( It was always a tough ask for Heather but I expected better than that, though her twitter indicated she was tired.
Congrats Laura, reasonable shot at the SF here
Yep but Laura should have been more tired. Heather's was the tougher assignment and thats how it turned out. Its just that the scoreline is a little bit onesided.
Never mind, Heather. Rodina's not bad when she's on but I actually thought Heather would make it. Yeah, guess she might have been tired given the lateness of last night's doubles though.

I agree. As I mentioned earlier, Laura has a great shot at making top 250 before Wimbledon. Fantastic for her
thrilled for laura, this was more important for laura, considering her limit in tournaments,
edit: btw if you think she could make top 250 before wimbledon, unless she goes even deeper hear, where do you suppose she will get those point from?, theres not that many weeks

expected those results. only thing was the heather scoreline was more lopsided than i thought it would be. maybe the prolonged amount level of traveling and tournies caught up with her to some extent.
I guess Perry cant be too injured, though I did question why a top 100 player would withdraw from singles and stil play doubles if there were genuine health concerns ahead of the run up to the French.
A week off for Heather to rest and practise before another 50k, whereas Laura is doing the opposite I believe? Strange they arent travelling together.
er i am confused as to how the doubles has even been played yet, didnt laura start at 18:00 gmt, and the doubles was fourth match. must have been very short matches

Yes that would seem a fair point. But when I spoke to the lady on the phone she seemed to know that result straightaway as if it was fresh before taking time to find out the other scores. She gave me Laura's result last so I was just relieved we had one win after hearing the other onesided scorelines.
There are 6 matches scheduled for tomorrow so hopefully they will all be on centre court and thus on livefeed. Laura's QF opponent will be decided during the night session from Midnight onwards but it is likely to be Ferguson someone Laura knows well having already played her twice during her senior career.
Good for him! And good for Laura, now closing in on the top 280 and up to GB no. 8 ahead of Georgie. Not sure if I mentioned that Heather's win in the last round took her into the GB top 10 ahead of Jade C.
